Practical Strategies For Working With Young Cannabis Users
Over two days, this course considers the benefits and risks of cannabis use – including mental health issues – and practical ways of engaging young users and motivating them to make positive changes in their lives.
To increase knowledge and awareness of cannabis and its use by young people
To explore attitudes towards cannabis use
To identify dangers of cannabis use, harm reduction advice and strategies to cut down and give up use
To identify effective strategies and resources to engage and support young cannabis users
To identify and develop the skills needed to engage and support young cannabis users and to recognise our own strengths and areas we may need to improve on
To identify what the service needs to do to improve the way it engages with and supports young cannabis users
